An update into my busy life....

So, the swine flu didn't kill me! But I sure felt like I was dying. It was awful! I hate being sick. And I normally now do not get sick much. But that defnitely kicked my butt. I even missed a football game to stay home in bed. I had offered my tickets to my friend's uncle and cousin from Tooele. My friend came and picked up the tickets and brought me some movies to watch and some sprite.. :). But I am all better. :)

Also my mom and her boyfriend are getting married on November 25th. They are either getting married at a courthouse or by a bishop. I am one of the witnesses. He is a really good guy and I couldn't be happier for them. So, that week will be a busy one.

I went to the So You Think You Can Dance top 10 show last Saturday. I went with my friend Felice, her mom Laurell (it was her birthday), and Felice's Aunt Evelyn (our friend was supposed to go but decided not to at the last minute). I also had to miss another football game but gave the tickets to my brother and his girlfriend. They had a fun time! I went to a jewelry party right before I headed to layton.. Then we picked up Evelyn in SLC and gave their football tickets to her two uncles. Then we went to the Macaroni Grill. IT was delicious. We went to the mall and then went to the E-Center for the show. It was so good! The only think I did not like was the screaming girls!! That got really annoying.. Was I that annoying as a teenager? Probably.

My new job is alright. I like the people ALOT. I just really don't like the job all that much. It's mostly all on the computer and some nights I go home with a horrid headache. But, unlike a bunch of my friends from my other department I am working. I am grateful for that. My old department furloughed most of their seasonals until January! Talk about a weird year. Even with the economy being bad I still think that department is going to work their seasonal taskforce as little as they can. :(. I keep telling all my friends it's time to get out!!!!

I am looking forward to the holidays this year even though I will be working. I love being with friends and family around the holidays. I also love buying gifts for people even if they don't give me anything..that's not the point of christmas. I just love to give..even when I get nothing in return. I would love to give all my unemployed friends and family members a job for Christmas. But hey maybe next year the economy will be on the rebound..

This is my random rant today. I was watching the news since I have today off for Veterans Day. And I heard that they want to send more troops to the middle east. Yeah, it seems like the President I thought was going to give me hope and bring our troops home is a liar and has his own AGENDA for everything. Whatever.. I am very disappointed in Obama and he hasn't even been in office for a year. GRR!!! I loved him at first but now..I am thinking... why did I vote for him?!
