I'm at a crossroads in my life...

The older I get the more I realize. I may never find my "prince charming". Granted, I am very shy when it comes to men so that could also play apart of me not finding Mr. Right. I've seen so many women in my family and even some of my friends "just settle". I don't want to "just settle". I want to find a guy who makes me extremely happy. Someone I can make a wonderful life with. I'm approaching 28 in about a month and a half. I've dated a bunch of losers but also dated a few good guys. I just don't know what to do anymore. I feel like I am standing at a fork in the road and one way I can go is to marriage and children and the other way is a career. Right now, I am thinking my better option is just to focus on the career aspect. Everyone keeps telling me "when it's right it'll happen." I know people mean well when they say that. But to be honest, I get sick of hearing that. I am glad that I am older and didn't marry young. But, I am getting too old to just play the dating game anymore. Im getting really bored with life. Most of my friends are married with children. A few are divorced with children and then I have a couple friends who are single. I just don't know what to do anymore. Friends have set me up with some great guys but we just didn't click. I am not picky. I like well rounded guys who have a good head on their shoulders (so if you know anyone who is 27-37 and single let me know!). Did that make me sound desperate? My mom is getting married next year for the 2nd time. I just want to get married once and have it be forever. :)

Don't settle! I life single is better than a life with someone that is not a good guy. Hang in there! The sunday school teacher in my current ward married at age 35 or something and is very happy with her hubby and kids. DON'T SETTLE for some loser. The guy doesn't have to be perfect but he should be a caring & a patient hubby. Why don't you take some classes at Weber and start working towards a degree? Who knows, maybe there is a handsome professor there waiting for you...
