I just witnessed HISTORY!

"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. " - Martin Luther King Jr.

I am so happy that President Bush is out of office. I don't want any backlash for this as I did vote for him in 2004. But he has disappointed me SO BAD in the past 4 years. That I voted for President Obama. I am sick of this stupid war. It has gone on way too long. What has it accomplished?! We executed Saddam Hussein which was a good thing but Bin Laden is still out there, and now our country is in an economic crisis. But, I could rant and rave about this until I am blue in my face, but I am not going to.

I BELIEVE that President Obama will do what he says he will do. Ever since the age of 18 when I could legally vote. I have never had so much faith in a president as I do now. I want this economy to get better. A friend of mine's husband is laid off. He makes around $60,000 plus a year and has been laid off for almost a month. She works part time and has the possibility of getting laid off at her job. The doctor she works for got laid off, so why keep her around?! They've not paid their mortgage in over a month. And can barely afford to keep food in their mouth and their daughter's mouth. I think that it's crap that this economy is forcing people who were doing well financially to go into financial turmoil. I hope and pray that it gets better.

Those 2 quotes at the top of my page are forever instilled in the hearts of Americans. And today those famous lines rang true as our 44th President of the United States of America was sworn in! I really didn't think in my life time I would ever see a president who was Africian American. I remember the night he won. After all was said and done. Michelle Obama, Pres. Obama and Joe Biden and his wife (I forgot her name) all joined hands and raised them above their heads I teared up a little bit. We need to be a more united country! I don't care what a persons nationality is, religion, orientation etc is, they are people and deserve to be treated the way I would want to be treated. I am looking forward to the next 4 years! And hopefully another 4 after that!

humn....I have alot to say to this, but I wont, I respect your opinion and pray that Obama will surprise me and do us some good.

Economic crisis, this is a touchy subject I cant believe how fast everything went down, lets hope and pray that Obama will get us out! We have been blessed enough to not have been effected YET but I worry for my family and friends and it scares me tothink of the sweet children who will be affected.

I hope you enjoy watching the inauguration!
